Q. How much are your cakes?
A. The 3D novelty cakes are a set price but others very according to size, complexity of decoration and type of cake base. Items such as cake jewellery, sugar flowers, complex royal icing designs, chocolate covering etc will increase the price of a cake. The following info may act as a guide for simply decorated cakes.
Q. How many servings will a cake provide?
A. That depends on the size of the cake! The following guide may help you.
Q. Can you deliver my cake?
A. Your cake can be delivered free of charge within 15 miles of Insch. Further afield incurs a charge of 30p per mile (round trip). You are more than welcome to collect your cake from me if you prefer!
Q. Do you charge to set up wedding cakes at the Reception?
A. No! Setting up is part of the service. I can arrange for the hire of wedding cakes stands - please ask for details.
Q. How much notice do you need?
A. For a wedding cake, I prefer 12 weeks notice but may be able to accomodate short-notice requests. For all other cakes, 3 weeks is preferred but urgent requests may be possible. Please call and ask, I'm sure I can work something out!
Further info:
- At present, I only accept cash or cheque. A deposit of 20% is required for all cakes over £50. With wedding cakes, the full balance is payable 4 weeks before the event.
- Cake flavours are: vanilla sponge, chocolate sponge, light fruit, carrot cake, vegan chocolate and vegan plain sponge. I'm also working on gluten-free recipes - watch this space!
